Recent paintings on Facebook page Paintings by Amanda Barrett

My paintings facebook page is the easiest place to put up recent work and sometimes work in progress. Instagram crops the images which I don’t like so I do not use it as often. It takes a bit longer to post on the website so it does not necessarily have my most recent paintings, its better to like my facebook page then you will get notifications when I post something new…I have embedded my facebook feed in this page

What happens to paintings I don’t like

They tend to hang around for a while, I may put them in a stack then go through them at some point. Occasionally looking through my reject pile I have a surprise and that one I will save and work on, but the others are destined for the bin or recycling. I don’t like to keep paintings I am not happy with so although I may paint a lot I will not necessarily have a large body of work on display/for sale.

Day 4 Paint Out Norfolk...slightly shakey start today as my acylics were drying out and did not do a good painting of Mundesley...However my afternoon went better I changed to oils and the view from the cliffs at Overstand was stunning, it just had to be painted I think 5 fellow artists had a go at this view.
