Heron Fen is a painting inspired by the sight of a blue heron rising from the River Stour at Little Bradley, Suffolk – water droplets peeled off the bird as it flew up and away, the theme of water and flight appealed to me. I experimented with merging the heron with its environment diluting my Acrylics and allowing them find their course down the canvas.
