Blakeney Quay painted March 2022, oils on board.

I week painting the North Norfolk Coast. Based at Blakeney. The weather was great with a lot of sunshine which always makes for a good painting.
These 2 boats were moored next to a slipway beside the quay. The shadow cast by the quay contrasted with the full sunlight. In addition the blue interior of the first boat boat added a welcome splash of colour. Colours are quite strong in this painting as I was particularly taken with the purple shadow caste by the white boat on the sage green water…fab!
